LAB RULES
At SAROJ PARAMEDICAL DEGREE COLLEGE, we are committed to providing a safe, productive, and respectful environment for all students, faculty, and staff. Our policies are designed to ensure the highest standards of educational excellence and professional behavior.
1. Safety First:
- All students must adhere to the safety guidelines provided for each laboratory. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, lab coats, and safety goggles must be worn at all times.
2. Proper Attire:
- Students should wear appropriate lab attire, including closed-toe shoes. No loose clothing or accessories that may pose a hazard should be worn.
3. Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Dispose of waste materials properly according to the lab’s waste disposal protocols.
4. Equipment Use:
- Use laboratory equipment only for its intended purpose and follow the operating instructions carefully. Report any malfunctioning equipment to the lab supervisor immediately.
5. No Food or Drink:
- Eating, drinking, or chewing gum is not permitted in the laboratory areas to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
6. Supervision Required:
- Students must work under the supervision of a qualified instructor or lab technician. Unauthorized experimentation is strictly prohibited.
7. Emergency Procedures:
- Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures, including the location of fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency exits.
8. Respect and Conduct:
- Respect all lab equipment and the work of fellow students. Maintain professional conduct and collaboration at all times.
9. Accidents and Spills:
- Report any accidents, spills, or injuries immediately to the lab supervisor. Follow the appropriate procedures for dealing with spills or accidents.
10. Cleanup:
- At the end of each lab session, ensure that all equipment is returned to its designated place and that the workspace is cleaned and left in an orderly manner.
